Al Mahrah.. Al Mahrah Security arrests a person accused of rape and murder wanted by Hadramout Police

Security services in Al Mahrah Governorate, eastern Yemen, said on Tuesday that they had arrested a suspect in a rape and murder case who was wanted by Hadhramaut Governorate police.

Al Mahrah Police stated in a statement that a circular was sent to them from Hadhramaut Police with the name and photo of the accused, and they moved immediately and were able to arrest the accused in record time.

According to the police statement, the accused committed a rape and murder crime in the Ramah district of Hadhramaut, after which he fled to Al Mahrah; however, the criminal investigation officers were able to arrest him through security operations.

Brigadier General Mufti Suhail Samouda, Director General of Security and Police in Al Mahrah Governorate, praised the efforts and vigilance of the criminal investigation personnel, which resulted in the arrest of the accused wanted by Hadramout Police.

For his part, Brigadier General Ahmed Ali Rafeet, Director of Criminal Investigation in Al Mahrah Governorate, explained that the criminal investigation men are in a state of complete vigilance, and that any criminal who tries to seek refuge in the governorate to escape justice will be arrested quickly and efficiently.

He pointed out that the accused was detained pending his handover to the relevant authorities in Hadhramaut.
