The Interior Ministry announces the arrest of a Houthi cell in Hadhramaut that was on its way to Sana'a

The Yemeni Interior Ministry announced, on Tuesday, the arrest of a Houthi cell in Hadhramaut Governorate, which was on its way to Sanaa, which is under the control of the Houthi militia.

The Security Media Center of the Ministry of Interior stated that a joint security campaign by the Hadhramaut Valley and Desert Security and the 23rd Mika Brigade arrested a cell of 13 members who were on their way to the Houthi militia.

He added that the cell members, aged between 18 and 25 years, from Hadhramaut Governorate, were arrested while standing in a restaurant in Al-Abr District.

He pointed out that the cell is led by a person from the Qatan Directorate who recruited members of the cell to transfer them to the Houthi group in Sana'a for the purpose of recruitment and training and distributing them after their return in Hadhramaut Governorate as sleeper cells.

He pointed out that the statements of the arrested elements revealed the presence of two people who coordinated with the Houthi militia to recruit members of the cell, noting that the accused were detained pending the case and the circular was issued to the rest of the cell members.
