Torrents of rain sweep away a citizen and his child in one of the towns of Saada

Torrential rains swept away a citizen and his child, in a town in Saada Governorate (northern Yemen).

Local sources said that the torrential rains swept away the citizen (Abdulaziz Thuban) while he was trying to pass his car in one of the torrential lanes, in the “Takhiya” area in the “Majz” district of Saada Governorate, northern Yemen.

The sources added that the citizen was found dead, while the search for the child continues.

The torrential rains that the governorate witnessed over the past few days caused the death of three people and affected 2,000 families, the majority of whom were displaced, according to UN reports.
