30 Yemenis died in traffic accidents in liberated areas and governorates during the first half of September.
Statistics issued by the Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior stated that the liberated areas witnessed 164 traffic accidents during the first half of this month, which claimed the lives of 30 people and resulted in the injury of 126 others, 70 of whom were in critical condition.
She explained that the traffic accidents, which caused material losses of 280 million riyals, were distributed between 112 vehicle collision accidents, 34 pedestrian run-over accidents, 14 vehicle rollover accidents, and 4 vehicle fall accidents.
The statistics attributed these accidents to violations of traffic rules and regulations, pedestrian negligence, and lack of concern for the safety and repair of vehicles.
