The Houthi militia kidnapped the brother of journalist Mohammed Dabwan Al-Mayahy from his home in the Far’ Al-Udayn district, west of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen), two days after his brother Mohammed was kidnapped from his home in Sana’a.
Local sources said that the Houthi militia stormed the Al-Ahmol area in the Fara Al-Udayn district, yesterday evening, Sunday, and kidnapped (Imad Al-Mayahy) from his home and took him to an unknown location.
It is noteworthy that the militia had raided the apartment of journalist Mohammed Dabwan Al-Mayahy in Sana'a on Friday morning, and took him to an unknown location, after he published posts criticizing the militia and its leader.
In addition, the militia continued its frenzied kidnapping campaigns in the governorate, where it kidnapped (Jamil Ahmed Abdul-Wahhab), the head of the Al-Madriya neighborhood in the city of Ibb, and also kidnapped the young man (Ahmed Mohammed Amin Al-Hamidi) from the Al-Sarah area, in the Al-Udayn directorate, west of Ibb, on the basis of their invitation to celebrate the anniversary of September 26.
Since the beginning of September, the Houthi militia has been launching frenzied kidnapping campaigns, the pace of which has increased over the past few days, targeting dozens of activists, politicians, educators, and social figures in a number of the governorate’s directorates, for expressing their joy over the glorious September 26 Revolution or inviting them to celebrate its sixty-second anniversary, which will be next Thursday.
