Heavy rains in Amran Governorate (northern Yemen) caused damage to 800 families, including 300 displaced families.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said today, Sunday, that the heavy rains that witnessed in the Al-Qafla area (the center of the Qaflat Adhar District), northwest of Amran, caused serious damage to camps for the displaced and citizens’ property.
She explained in a blog post on the X platform that 800 families were affected by these rains, including 300 families in displacement camps and 500 families of local citizens.
It confirmed that it is coordinating with the relevant authorities and partners to respond immediately and provide needs for those affected, including (food, non-food items, hygiene supplies, clean water, and temporary transportation).
