On Saturday evening, the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in Hajjah Governorate launched a "distress call" to all official and humanitarian agencies to provide relief to hundreds of displaced families affected by floods in the liberated districts and areas northwest of the governorate.

A recent government report revealed that hundreds of displaced families in Abyan Governorate (south) and Taiz Governorate (southwest of Yemen) were affected by the floods that hit the two governorates during the period from August 16-18.

The local authority in Ma'rib Governorate (eastern Yemen) announced that the number of victims of the rains and floods that have hit the governorate since last Sunday has risen to 40 people, between dead and wounded, and 7,300 families have been affected, most of whom are displaced.

The Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons' Camps (EXUIDPS) said in a report issued on Saturday that a total of 1,985 families were affected by the heavy rains and torrential rains that the displaced camps witnessed in a number of districts of Hajjah Governorate, during the past Thursday and Friday.

The Israeli occupation forces carried out a direct bombardment on a school housing displaced people in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, resulting in martyrs and wounded.

Heavy rains in Amran Governorate (northern Yemen) caused damage to 800 families, including 300 displaced families.
