A child was killed and a young man was injured in two mine explosions left by the Houthi militia in the governorates of Al-Jawf (northeast) and Al-Hodeidah (west of Yemen).

Local sources said that the child "Ali Al-Shaari" was killed by a landmine left by the Houthi militia, on Friday afternoon, while herding sheep in Rawdat Bin Sarhan in the Al-Khard area, southwest of Al-Jawf Governorate.

In Al Hudaydah Governorate, a young man in his twenties was seriously injured on Friday, and one of his legs was amputated, as a result of the explosion of a landmine left behind by the terrorist Houthi militias in Al Jarrahi District, south of Al Hudaydah Governorate.

Human rights and local sources reported that the mine exploded while he was riding a motorcycle in the "Akda" area, south of Al-Jarahi District.

The sources indicated that the mine exploded while the young man was transporting his household furniture on his motorcycle, after the militias forced his family to flee, along with the residents of the village and four neighboring villages.

Al-Jawf and Al-Hodeidah are among the Yemeni governorates most affected by the mines planted by the terrorist Houthi militia on a large scale in the country during the past years, and their incidents have resulted in the death and injury of thousands of civilians.
