A UN report revealed that the Israeli aggression that targeted the port of Hodeidah in western Yemen with air strikes on July 20 destroyed 800,000 liters of fuel.

The United Nations World Food Programme said in a report on the humanitarian situation in Yemen: “On July 20, nearly 800,000 litres of WFP-owned fuel allocated for its on-demand services were destroyed.”

He added that the destruction of this fuel was "due to the air strikes on the port of Hodeidah," referring to the Israeli air strikes on the port, which is under Houthi control.

On July 20, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on the port of Hodeidah, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries, in addition to significant material losses estimated by the Houthi group at about $20 million.

This came a day after a Houthi drone attack on Tel Aviv, killing one Israeli and wounding nine others, in response to the "genocide" in Gaza. At the time, the Houthi group threatened operations in response to the attack, according to tweets on the "X" platform by the group's spokesman, Mohammed Abdul Salam, and a member of its Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi.
