Al Hudaydah.. Death of an elderly man after being subjected to severe torture by the Houthi militia (video)

An elderly citizen died after being subjected to severe torture by members of the terrorist Houthi militia in the city of Hodeidah (western Yemen).

Journalist Bassem Al-Janani said in a post on his Facebook page last night that "Hajj Mahdi Ghaleb Daoud" was tortured to death by members of a security checkpoint affiliated with the Houthi militia on the Sham-Bajil road after the Salif junction, north of Hodeidah.

He explained that Hajj "Mahdi" was working as a guard on a farm near the Houthi security checkpoint, where he and his family lived.

Regarding the motives behind the crime, journalist Al-Janani stated that the Houthi elements at the security checkpoint accused Hajj Mahdi’s son, a 13-year-old boy, of stealing a mobile phone from the checkpoint. As a result, they kidnapped the child and his father, tied them to a tree at the site, and tortured them to make them confess and return the mobile phone.

Al-Janani confirmed that Hajj Mahdi died as a result of torture, as he showed a video of him after his death, with signs of torture on various parts of his body, noting that the militia elements transferred his body to Al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeidah.

The terrorist Houthi militia commits brutal torture crimes against civilians in areas under its control and against abductees in its prisons, causing the death and injury of hundreds, according to human rights and official reports.
