As a result of "two massacres", about 120 martyrs and wounded in Israeli bombing of a mosque and a school in Gaza

About 120 Palestinians, including children, were killed and injured on Sunday morning in two "massacres" committed by the Israeli occupation army after it bombed a school and a mosque housing displaced people in the central Gaza Strip.

The government media office in Gaza said, "The Israeli occupation army committed two brutal massacres by bombing the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Mosque adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah (central) and Ibn Rushd School in al-Zawayda (central), which resulted in the martyrdom of 24 Palestinians and the injury of 93 others."

The office added, in a statement, that "these two brutal massacres come after a series of massacres committed by the occupation army by bombing 27 homes, schools and displacement centers in various governorates of the Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours, as this continuous horrific bombing led to the deaths of dozens of martyrs and wounded."

He continued: "These new crimes come in conjunction with the difficult health situation in the sector, as the remaining hospitals are unable to provide good health and medical services to the wounded and sick, whose numbers are increasing exponentially every day."

He stated that "humanitarian and health work in the sector faces serious challenges as a result of the Israeli genocidal war, amidst terrible international, Arab and regional silence and inability."

The office condemned "the Israeli occupation's commission of these brutal and ongoing massacres against civilians, children and women."

He held Israel and the US administration "fully responsible for the continuation of the crime of genocide and the commission of massacres against civilians in Gaza."

He called on the international community and all UN and international organizations to "pressure Israel to stop the crime of genocide and stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip."

Earlier today, medical sources told Anadolu Agency that 21 Palestinians, including children, were killed and dozens were injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted a mosque housing displaced people opposite the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Palestinian paramedics told the Anadolu Agency correspondent that the bodies of children with beheaded heads and a large number of serious injuries arrived at the hospital as a result of the Israeli bombing of the mosque.

In the town of Al-Zawaida (central), 3 Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted the Ibn Rushd School, which houses hundreds of displaced people, according to what medical sources told Anadolu Agency.

With full American support, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 138,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

In contempt of the international community, Israel continues its war of extermination in Gaza, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
