The Future of Yemen One Year After the Battle of the Flood
Opinions| 6 October, 2024 - 3:36 PM
Let us be frank, the fragile state of the states that were re-established after the Arab Spring, and Egypt is a perfect example of these states, would not have allowed them to cause this level of confusion that armed groups have caused by dominating states. However, the real danger of these groups lies in the fact that the direct results of their involvement in what is supposed to be a moral battle par excellence alongside Palestine will not benefit the peoples or accumulate power among states as much as they will move the region to a future in which the majority is oppressed, weakened and humiliated in the name of Palestine.
The camp of the oppressed majority in Yemen possesses moral strength and a clear argument, while it is waging, with minimal capabilities, the battle to restore the Yemeni state, in the face of a clear coup against the national and religious identity of the Yemeni people, threatening the political and geographical unity of the Yemeni people, weakening the largest population bloc in the Arabian Peninsula, and turning it into a weak point in the comprehensive strategic confrontation with the enemies of the nation, foremost among them the Zionist entity supported by the West.
