Marib Governor's Deputy Ali Al-Fatemi called on banks to contribute to financing female entrepreneurs' projects to launch their projects in the labor market and create opportunities for competition in production and creativity in various commercial projects, crafts and handicrafts to become productive families capable of supporting themselves and employing unemployed hands.
This came during a training workshop organized by the General Administration for Women's Development in the Marib Governorate Diwan, on Thursday, on women's economic empowerment and developing the skills of female entrepreneurs, according to Saba Agency.
The workshop aimed to provide 35 female entrepreneurs with a set of basic skills needed to help them develop their business projects and launch new creative and innovative businesses, to contribute to strengthening the national economy.
Al-Fatimi stressed that Yemeni women have become an effective partner in development, and have a major role in diversifying the sources of income for the family and society, and are one of the factors driving the national economy, to overcome the state of economic deterioration resulting from the control of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime over state institutions and their looting and destruction.
In turn, Director of the Women’s Development Department, Fanda Al-Amari, spoke about the importance of strengthening the role of women and empowering them economically to become entrepreneurs who unleash their energies and potential, overcome life’s difficulties, and own their own project.
She pointed out that the local authority is keen to provide women with the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities, and seeks to provide visions, proposals and skills to contribute to the success of their pioneering projects.
