Protest stand by Al-Jawf tribes
On Thursday, the tribes of Al-Jawf, along with the tribes of Yemen, organized a protest to demand the immediate release of Major General Ali Mohsen Al-Hadi, Assistant Chief of Operations in the National Army, who has been detained in Saudi Arabia for several months.
The tribes confirmed that this stand came after knocking on the doors of the presidency, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the legitimacy, and the Saudi leadership, without responding to their demands, stressing that the escalation will continue until their demands for the release of Major General Al-Hadi are met.
During the vigil, Sheikh Al-Jawf Sheikh Al-Hassan bin Ali Abkar “Abu Ali” delivered a speech in which he condemned the Saudi authorities’ imprisonment of Major General Ali Al-Hadi, a military commander and diplomat, stressing that his imprisonment was a violation of customs and laws.

Sheikh Hassan Abkar addressed Saudi Arabia, saying: “I say to Saudi Arabia, we are brothers and siblings. It is true that you have helped us and stood by our side, but do not enslave us, humiliate us, or insult us. We will not accept imprisonment and insult.”
Sheikh Hassan Abkar considered Saudi Arabia's imprisonment of a Yemeni military leader in its prisons as a "violation of Yemeni sovereignty," calling for his immediate release, stressing that this is the demand of 40 million Yemenis.
During the vigil, he called on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to respect its allies and addressed them, saying: “Our brothers, do not spoil our reputation. Ali Mohsen is a military and diplomatic leader who should not be imprisoned. Do not weaken us, and if there is something against him, let him be imprisoned in his country, Yemen.”
Addressing Saudi Arabia, he added: "Do not shed our dignity and honor, do not crush our dignity, and humiliate us before our enemies," noting that the only beneficiary of Saudi practices is the Houthis, who have come to view the legitimacy as mere slaves of Saudi Arabia.
Sheikh Hassan Abkar continued his speech by saying: “Imprison the smugglers who enter without an ID or passport. As for a diplomat who fights at the borders and you know his situation and his heroism, this is not permissible and is shameful on you.”
Abkar added: “We secretly asked Saudi Arabia to release General Al-Hadi, but our demands were not met,” which prompted us to publicly demand the release of General Al-Hadi.
Sheikh Abkar called on all Yemeni sheikhs, tribes, scholars, politicians, media professionals, intellectuals, and local and international organizations to stand by them and show solidarity with them to demand the release of Major General Al-Hadi.
Hero who fought the Houthi militia
In a post on the “X” platform, Sheikh Hassan Abkar said, “Al-Jawf, its tribes, notables, sheikhs, and youth, along with a group from various tribes and other Yemeni governorates, came out to demand that our brothers in the Kingdom release Major General Ali Mohsen Al-Hadi.”

Abkar reviewed the biography of Major General Al-Hadi and said: “This hero fought the Houthi militia, defended legitimacy, and struggled under its banner and the banner of the Arab coalition on the fronts of pride and dignity from the beginning of the war until today.”
Sheikh Hassan Abkar said, "This stance must reach the brothers in the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, so that they stand with a hero of the national army."
He stressed that "Major General Ali Mohsen Al-Hadi is a republican flag and a hero of the army, who obeys the orders of the state and is a supporter of the system and the law."
He expressed his confidence that the Kingdom's leadership will not abandon the struggling heroes, who they saw as having great courage, strong determination, and a firm will in the fields of honor and dignity, under their leadership of the coalition supporting Yemeni legitimacy.
He pointed out that the Kingdom's leadership "will not accept that the fate of the heroes who shared their position and sacrifice be a fate that does not honor anyone, and they will not submit to the Houthis' demands to insult these honorable heroes."
He called on all brothers, sheikhs, dignitaries, media professionals and activists to participate in this just demand.
He also called on the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to respond to these demands, in order to preserve the bonds of brotherhood, neighbourhood, partnership and common destiny.
