The British government stressed that peace in Yemen, which has been witnessing war for ten years, is "vital to regional stability," stressing its continued efforts with international and regional partners to achieve this.

This was stated by the British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Hamish Faulkner, during his meeting with the US Special Envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, and the US and Saudi Ambassadors, Stephen Fagin and Mohammed Al Jaber, in the capital, London.

"Peace in Yemen is vital to regional stability, and the UK continues to work with partners to achieve this," Faulkner said in a post on his X account on Monday.

The meeting comes as part of intensive efforts by international and regional actors to revive the roadmap to end the conflict in Yemen, which was disrupted by the naval attacks launched by the Houthi militia on international shipping lanes in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden.
