The branches of political parties in Taiz Governorate (southwest of Yemen) denounced the extreme secrecy about the contents of the road map that is being talked about, and considered it a confiscation of the right of Yemenis to determine their political and sovereign destiny.

The Taiz parties, in a statement issued after their meeting on Wednesday evening, warned against any negotiations that would perpetuate the division of national sovereign institutions, and stressed that the basic approach to any settlement must include “stopping any legislation, procedures, and practices that perpetuate sectarianism and sectarianism, especially in the school curricula, which is a matter that destroys Yemeni national and political memory for current and future generations.

The parties stressed that any political settlement in which the various Yemeni political and civil expressions do not participate will be a settlement that does not mean or express the will of the Yemenis.

It also stressed the continued support for the liberation battle and the restoration of the Yemeni state, and the opposition to the Houthi project with its racist dimensions that target the political and social existence of the democratic national state, the freedom and dignity of the Yemeni people, and the values and principles of the Yemeni revolution in September and October.

The statement called on the legitimate authority to assume its responsibility in leading the battle of liberation and restoration of the state through effective national struggle on all fronts and levels, including the negotiation front, which it said was diverted by the coup militias into negotiations over the disastrous results of the war they caused and are trying to win through it what they were unable to do.
