She added that the kidnappings came after the union issued a statement condemning the kidnapping of a number of lawyers and demanding their immediate release and the prosecution of those involved in the kidnapping.

The new kidnappings included (Najeeb Abdo Al-Sahli, Wafaq Abdul Hadi Al-Hatari - released - Akram Saeed Al-Masni, Mustafa Muhammad Al-Daroubi, Abdul Hakim Jamal Al-Badani, Maher Ahmed Al-Shaibani), while the lawyer Mansour Youssef Al-Badji is still kidnapped since September 20, according to the statement.

He pointed out that the fate of all the kidnapped people is unknown since their kidnapping until now, calling for their immediate release.

The Houthi militia had kidnapped five lawyers in the governorate on the basis of publications celebrating the anniversary of the September Revolution. Following this, the union issued a statement on September 24, in which it pledged to hold accountable the perpetrators of the kidnapping crimes from the intelligence service and the militia security in the governorate, and vowed to initiate all necessary measures against all those who caused and directly carried out the kidnapping crime.

The Houthi group launched a campaign of arrests that targeted hundreds of Yemenis of all categories in areas under its control, against the backdrop of celebrating the anniversary of the September 26 Revolution.
