The United Nations Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement ( UNMHA ) announced today, Thursday, the recording of two incidents related to landmines and explosive remnants of war in the Hodeidah Governorate (western Yemen), during last September.

UNMHA said in a statement on the X platform that the two incidents occurred in At Tuhayat and Al-Hawk and resulted in the death of two civilians (a man and a woman) and the injury of one civilian.

The UN mission indicated that Yemen is still severely affected by explosive devices, as Al Hudaydah Governorate is one of the most affected governorates due to violent fighting in the past and the ongoing conflict along the front lines in the south of the governorate.

With this toll, the total number of victims has risen to 30 dead and 42 wounded since the beginning of this year, according to statistics from the UN mission .
