The leader of the Islah Party in Taiz, Ahmed Othman, survived on Wednesday evening a shooting that targeted his house in the city of Taiz (southwest of Yemen).

Sources close to the family of the head of the Islah Taiz media, Ahmed Othman, told "Yemeni Youth Net" that their house, located in the Al-Ba'arah area in the center of Taiz city, was targeted with gunfire.

She reported that "a bullet believed to be from a machine gun penetrated the living room of the house, resulting in the injury of one of Othman's relatives."

She explained that Othman's nephew, citizen "Ahmed Abdo Ali" in his fifties, was injured in his hand and was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The sources attributed the targeting to "the terrorist Houthi militia," noting that "the security services are following up on the incident."
