Cameras captured the moment Hurricane Milton made landfall in the US state of Florida, early Thursday morning.
The scenes showed the changes that occurred when Milton arrived in the Fort Myers area.
The hurricane comes on the heels of Helen, which left widespread destruction in the same state.
Milton made landfall in Florida as an "extremely dangerous" Category 3 hurricane, packing damaging winds, flash floods and damaging winds, the National Hurricane Center said.
The National Hurricane Center said in a bulletin issued Thursday that "data indicates that the eye of Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key in Sarasota County on the west coast of Florida."
