Rain continues in Yemen
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted, on Tuesday, heavy rains in several Yemeni governorates in the coming hours, calling for avoiding areas of rock collapses on mountain roads.
This came in his daily bulletin, expecting rain of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms in the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhale, Al Bayda, Dhamar, Raymah, Sana'a, Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah and Sa'dah.
He warned citizens against being in valleys and torrents, or crossing ground bridges during torrents, and to be aware of thunderstorms, strong descending winds, falling hail, and poor horizontal visibility, and to avoid areas of rock collapses on mountain roads.
He also expected varying intensity rains accompanied by thunderstorms on the highlands of (Shabwa, Abyan, and Lahj), and thunderstorms of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms on parts of the governorates of (Al Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Aden, Abyan, and Lahj) and extending westward to include the Tihama plain and the western coasts of the governorates of (Hajjah - Al Hudaydah and Taiz).
He pointed out that the weather in the coastal areas will be partly cloudy, turning to cloudy, dusty and relatively hot, with maximum temperatures ranging between (32-37 degrees Celsius), and very strong winds around the Socotra Archipelago, with a maximum speed of 45 knots, and moderate to very strong speeds between (25 to 35) knots on the eastern, southern and western coasts.
