Human Rights Organization: Security Forces Lead Mass Arrest Campaign Against Dozens of Civilians in Al-Khokha City

Exclusive: Yemen Youth Net - Follow-ups
Rights Radar for Human Rights revealed a mass arrest campaign carried out by security forces in the city of Al-Khokha (the center of Al-Hodeidah Governorate in the legitimate authorities), which included dozens of civilians.
The Amsterdam-based organization said in a statement on the X platform that the commander of the Special Security Forces in Hodeidah Governorate, Sadiq Attia, ordered the arrest of 40 civilians in the city of Al-Khokha, before detaining 13, including teachers and pharmacists, in the Abu Musa camp of the Joint Forces.
He added that the detainees were subjected to "humiliating torture that included being thrown half-naked under the scorching sun, and being punished by having their hair shaved."
While the organization condemned the arbitrary arrest and the violations that accompanied it, it considered what happened to be “a blatant attack on the margin of freedom available in the liberated areas south of Al Hudaydah Governorate in western Yemen, and it contradicts the concept of the state and the rule of law, which requires dealing with any citizen in a manner befitting his dignity and humanity.”
The human rights organization called for an investigation into the incident, holding the perpetrators accountable, and restoring dignity to the victims.
#Rights_Radar strongly condemns the arbitrary arrest of 13 people, including teachers and pharmacists from Al-Khokha District, and the abuse and humiliation they were subjected to, which affected their dignity, in Abu Musa camp affiliated with the Joint Forces on the West Coast.
