Yemeni expatriates in the United States of America complained of serious violations committed by the terrorist Houthi militia against their families and homes in the Ash-Sha'ir District of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).
Expatriate Mubarak Shahbin said in a statement on his Facebook page on Thursday that the members of the Shahbin family and the people of Al-Sharaheen village in the Al-Amluk district of Al-Sha’ir are being subjected to serious violations, including “attacks on their lands, besieging their homes, and imprisoning their children” by the local, executive, and security authorities affiliated with the Houthis in Ibb governorate.
Sheikh Shahbin called on the Yemeni community in the United States to stand in solidarity with the sons of the Shahbin tribe and the village of Al-Sharaheen, and to stand against the injustice to which they are being subjected.
The statement, which was reviewed by "Yemeni Youth Net", called on expatriates in America to attend the solidarity meeting that is being arranged to be held next Saturday afternoon in the "Saba" Hall in the Morris Park neighborhood in the Bronx area in New York State.
The statement of "Shahbeen", which was republished by a number of expatriates from the sons of Al-Sha'r in America, indicated that the danger may exceed everyone if silence continues, saying: "The sons of Al-Sha'r District must realize that the next stage may be more difficult and that everyone is targeted, as the authority in Ibb Governorate (the Houthis) has begun to open new files under the pretext of public projects, endowment lands, and state funds, which makes everyone vulnerable to targeting."
This comes at a time when the terrorist Houthi militia continues to protect road-paving equipment on the lands of the "Shahbin" family in the village of Al-Sharaheen in the Al-Sha'ir district, financed by expatriates from the "Ubayya" family, after it kidnapped dozens of villagers who reject the paving process.
According to local sources who spoke to "Yemeni Youth Net", the militia has obstructed all local mediation efforts seeking to resolve the conflict amicably between the two families.
The sources indicated that Houthi leaders in the local authority, the security of the governorate, and the Ash-Sha'ir directorate sided with the "Ubayya" family, who are attacking the lands of the "Shahbin" family, and are protecting the road construction process, in exchange for financial compensation, despite the existence of a paved public road that reaches the villages targeted by the new road.
According to the sources, the Houthi leaders did not just side with the aggressors and protect the equipment of the division, but rather besieged the homes of the citizens who refused and kidnapped dozens of them, and they continue their violations against them.
