Kidnapped journalist Fahmi Al-Alimi
On Friday, the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate condemned the arrest of journalist Fahmi Al-Alimi by the Transitional Council forces in Aden, and demanded his immediate release and the punishment of those involved in his arrest.
The union indicated in a statement, a copy of which was received by Yemen Shabab Net, that it "received a report from colleagues of journalist Fahmi Al-Alimi stating that the colleague was arrested by the Security Belt forces in Aden yesterday morning, Thursday, as he left his home."
The statement added: "The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate, while condemning this arbitrary measure, calls on the security authorities in Aden and the legitimate government to quickly release him and punish those involved in the arrest process."

In its statement, the Journalists Syndicate held the Security Belt forces affiliated with the Transitional Council in Aden responsible for the safety of colleague Fahmi Al-Alimi, stressing the speed of his release.
The union renewed its demand to the authorities in Aden to stop harassing journalists and to impose restrictions on workers in the press and media sector.
