Humanitarian aid
The United Nations Yemen Humanitarian Fund said that 14 member states contributed or pledged $39.2 million to the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) during the month of June, explaining that $35 million of the amount had been received.
The Fund affirmed its commitment to localization, and to working closely with national and local partners whenever possible.
He noted that in 2023, 44 percent of the funds were allocated directly to 27 local partners (including 19 women-led/women’s rights organizations).
He stressed that, during the first six months, the Yemen Humanitarian Fund conducted 81 monitoring visits across Yemen to assess the progress of its projects.
He noted that the Yemen Humanitarian Fund team conducted 53 random financial checks to assess the effectiveness of partners’ internal financial controls.
