Seven soldiers were killed and injured on Wednesday evening after being ambushed by gunmen believed to belong to Al-Qaeda in Mudiyah district, east of Abyan Governorate, in the south of the country.
Local sources said that an armed ambush targeted a military vehicle belonging to the 103rd Infantry Brigade forces, in the village of Al-Baqira, east of the city of Mudiyah.
The sources explained that the targeting resulted in the killing of two soldiers, namely (Mohammed Al-Quraishi, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Nasser), and the injury of five others, namely (Mahmoud Ali Qasim, Mohammed Qadeesh Mohammed, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Nasser, Qasim Saeed Qasim, Fouad Mohsen Marzouq).
