A citizen died and his son was injured as a result of a gas cylinder explosion in the Ibb countryside

A citizen died and his son suffered serious burns, as a result of a gas cylinder explosion in one of the towns of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).

Local sources said that citizen (Mohammed Ahmed Naji Al-Junaid) died (Thursday) in a gas cylinder explosion incident inside his home in the Shaab Yafa area in the Ibb countryside directorate, north of the governorate center.

The sources added that the incident resulted in serious injuries to one of Al-Junaid's sons, who was subsequently transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The incident comes at a time when the Houthi militia continues to flood local markets in the governorate and other governorates under its control with damaged cylinders, whose accidents over the past years have killed and injured dozens.
