Marib.. Security seized a shipment of hashish during an attempt to smuggle it into Houthi-controlled areas

On Sunday, the security services in Ma'rib Governorate seized 190 kg of hashish at one of the security points at the entrances to the governorate during an attempt to smuggle it into areas controlled by the terrorist Houthi militia.

The Director of the Narcotics Control Department in Ma'rib, Colonel Abdul Razzaq Al-Rawafi, said, "The seized shipment, consisting of 190 kilograms of hashish, was seized on board a Dina (Isuzu) truck during an attempt to smuggle it into areas controlled by the Houthi militias."

He pointed out that "the seized quantities were investigated and referred along with the accused to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures."

Assistant Director General of Ma'rib Police, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Akwa, praised the efforts of officers and members of all security points deployed at the entrances and exits of the governorate and the great security achievements they achieve and their role in thwarting smuggling operations.

For his part, the Commander of the Special Security Forces in Ma'rib Governorate, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Sabri, confirmed the readiness of officers and members of all security points in Ma'rib Governorate to thwart any Houthi attempts to smuggle hashish and contraband.

Pointing out their “high ability to detect and control complex smuggling operations, regardless of the methods and methods used by the militias for camouflage and concealment.”
