Houses destroyed by rain

Houthi media reported that six people died and more than 430 homes were destroyed, some completely and others partially, in Raymah Governorate, due to floods caused by heavy rains that fell on the governorate in the past few days.

According to Houthi media, it was reported that six deaths were recorded, 430 homes were destroyed in villages and districts, 45 roads were completely cut off, and large areas of agricultural land, including coffee, mango and corn, were washed away due to the torrential floods.

She pointed out that the rains closed a number of roads, including the main road linking the Rabat area to the governorate center, in addition to damage to many water tanks in the governorate center.

The United Nations had previously announced the death and injury of 24 people and the damage of about 159,000 due to the rains in Yemen since the beginning of this year.

A number of governorates witnessed the demolition of homes and agricultural lands due to the continued heavy rainfall that God has blessed us with, especially in the current month of August, which is the most abundant.
