Ibb.. 4 houses collapse and dozens are damaged in several directorates due to rain

Four new houses collapsed in B Governorate (central Yemen), and dozens were damaged, due to the continuous heavy rains that the governorate has been witnessing for weeks.

Local sources said that a house collapsed last night in the village of "Zubaid" in the Yahir district in the Radmah district (northeast of Ibb) and caused damage to other houses.

In the village of "Musad" in the Radmah district, a house also collapsed the day before yesterday, coinciding with the collapse of another house in the Yarim district (north), and another in the village of "Al-Manzil" in the Al-Fajrah district, in the Al-Nadirah district (east of Ibb), as a result of heavy rains, according to sources.

The sources indicated that the accidents caused material losses without recording any casualties among the population.

With this result, the total number of houses collapsed due to floods in the governorate reached 17 houses (6 Jablah - 3 Yarim - 3 Al-Radmah - 2 Al-Mashnah - 2 Al-Dhahar - 1 Al-Nadira).

In a related context, the rains that have been hitting the governorate for weeks have damaged 150 homes in Al-Qafr District (northwest), according to the Yemeni Red Crescent Society.

For weeks, Ibb Governorate has been witnessing continuous rains that have caused human losses and damage to infrastructure and citizens’ property.
