Egyptian international Mohamed Salah achieved new records in the English Premier League after leading his team Liverpool to a 2-0 victory over its guest Brentford in the second round yesterday, Sunday.

Colombian Luis Diaz scored Liverpool's first goal in the 13th minute, then Salah added the second in the 70th minute, to achieve the Reds' second consecutive victory and the first at their home stadium, Anfield, in the new season.

Squawka statistics network reported that Salah is now the player with the most goals against Brentford in the English Premier League (7 goals).

Salah outperformed England international James Maddison, the current Tottenham and former Leicester City star, whose contributions against Brentford stopped at six goals.

The network added that Salah directly contributed to 128 goals in 128 matches in the English Premier League at Anfield for Liverpool, where he scored 93 goals and provided 35 assists.

No other player has contributed to more than 100 home goals in the Premier League since Salah joined the Reds in 2017.

Salah scored for the second consecutive match in the English Premier League this season after shaking Ipswich Town's net (2-0) in the first round.
