Fourth loss in all competitions.. Brighton deepens Manchester City's wounds

Brighton shocked defending champions Manchester City by beating them 2-1 on Saturday in the 11th round of the English Premier League, adding to their recent woes.

Norwegian Erling Haaland opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 23rd minute, and Brazilian substitute Pedro managed to equalize for Brighton in the 78th minute before Danish substitute Matteo O'Reilly scored the winning goal for the home team.

City's tally froze at 23 points in second place, while Brighton raised its tally to 19 points in fourth place.

It is the fourth consecutive defeat in various competitions for the team of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, as it had previously fallen in the last 11 days against Tottenham 1-2 in the League Cup, then Bournemouth by the same result in the league last weekend, before receiving a heavy defeat against Sporting Portugal 1-4 in the Champions League.

Fulham achieved a valuable victory over its host Crystal Palace with a score of 2/0, while West Ham United tied with its guest Everton without goals.

Fulham finished the first half ahead with a goal from Emile Smith Rowe in the second minute of stoppage time, and Harry Wilson added the second goal for the visitors in the 83rd minute.

VAR cancelled two other goals for Fulham, scored by Smith Rowe and Harry Wilson in the 52nd and 93rd minutes.

Crystal Palace suffered from a numerical deficiency after the expulsion of its player Daichi Kamada in the 76th minute.

Fulham raised its score to 18 points in sixth place after achieving its fifth victory this season, while Crystal Palace's score froze at seven points in seventeenth place.

At the London Olympic Stadium, West Ham United were content with a goalless draw with their guest Everton, whose goalkeeper Jordan Pickford excelled in stopping more than one dangerous chance against West Ham striker Danny Ings, while the post denied the home team a sure goal in the final seconds.

The London team remained in 14th place with 12 points, while Everton remained in 16th place with 10 points.

Wolverhampton achieved their first win in the competition this season by defeating their guest Southampton with two goals scored by Pablo Sarabia and Matheus Cunha in the 2nd and 51st minutes.

Wolverhampton raised its score to six points to jump to eighteenth place, while Southampton dropped to the bottom of the standings after its score froze at four points in twentieth place.

In another exciting match, Brentford won 3-2 against its guest, Bournemouth, who defeated the title holder, Manchester City, in the previous round.

Yoann Wissa scored twice and Mikkel Damsgaard scored for Brentford in the 27th, 50th and 58th minutes, while Evanilson and Justin Kluivert scored for the visitors in the 17th and 49th minutes.

Brentford raised its score to 16 points in tenth place, jumping ahead of Bournemouth, whose score froze at 15 points in eleventh place.
