Our national team conceded a victory against Kuwait in the West Asian Championship

Our national youth team missed out on a victory that was within its reach and settled for a draw (1-1) with the Kuwaiti national team, on Saturday evening, in the third round of the third West Asian Under-19 Football Championship.

The two teams met in the framework of the first group competitions, which included Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Our national team players wasted many opportunities that could have decided the outcome of the match in their favor, in light of the Kuwaiti national team's defense, which was keen to emerge from the tournament with two defeats in the first and second rounds.

The Kuwaiti national team took the lead through player Youssef Al-Shammari midway through the first half, and Abdulaziz Masoum equalized for Yemen in the 30th minute.

The Yemeni youth team raised its score to 5 points from one win and two draws and will wait for the results of the final round of the second and third groups to determine the best second-place team after the Saudi team qualified as the leader of the first group with five points and a goal difference over the Yemeni team.

The tournament will be held in the Saudi city of Taif during the period from June 25 to July 5.
