Manchester City and Arsenal summit ends in an exciting draw

The summit clash between defending champion Manchester City and runner-up Arsenal ended in an exciting 2-2 draw on Sunday, concluding the fifth round of the English Premier League.

The match was strong and volatile in its outcome and events to a large extent, and the phenomenon Erling Haaland opened the scoring for Manchester City from a clear one-on-one with Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya in the ninth minute.

Arsenal quickly equalized with a powerful and precise shot by Riccardo Calafiori in the 22nd minute.

In the 45+1 minute, defender Gabriel put his team Arsenal in the lead with a perfect header after rising to meet a corner kick taken by Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal did not enjoy the lead as their winger Leandro Trossard was sent off after receiving a red card in the 45+8 minute.

Manchester City dropped their first two points this season to remain top with 13 points, while Arsenal dropped to fourth place with 11 points after drawing for the second time this season against 3 wins.

Brighton and Nottingham Forest

In another match, the match between Brighton and its guest Nottingham Forest ended in a positive draw (2-2). New Zealand striker Chris Wood scored for Nottingham from a penalty kick in the 13th minute before Jack Hinshelwood equalized for Brighton in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, veteran striker Danny Welbeck was able to Brighton's second goal from a wonderful free kick.

Nottingham managed to equalize after an organized attack that ended with Ramon Sosa putting the ball into the net in the 70th minute.

The match witnessed the expulsion of Nottingham midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White in the 83rd minute, before the expulsion of the visiting team's coach Nuno Espirito Santo in the 84th minute.

Brighton raised its score to 9 points in seventh place, the same as Nottingham, which is in eighth place, on goal difference.
