Arsenal achieve a valuable victory, Liverpool secure the lead, and City overcome Fulham with difficulty

Arsenal achieved a historic victory over its guest Southampton, while Manchester City narrowly escaped the Fulham trap, and Liverpool secured the lead with a victory over Crystal Palace.

Arsenal achieved a valuable victory over its guest, Southampton, 3-1, today, Saturday, in the seventh round of the English Premier League.

Kai Havertz (58), Gabriel Martinelli (69) and Bukayo Saka (88) scored for Arsenal, while the visitors' goal was scored by Cameron Archer in the 55th minute.

According to the Squawka statistics network, Arsenal became the second team in the history of the English Premier League to achieve its 400th home win in the competition, after Manchester United.

In another match, Manchester City overcame its guest, Fulham, with great difficulty, by defeating it (3-2).

Mateo Kovacic (32 and 47) and Jeremy Doku (82) scored for the Citizens.

While Andreas Pereira (26) and Rodrigo Muniz (88) scored Fulham's goals.

This is the fifth win for the Citizens in the English Premier League this season, compared to two draws, raising their score to 17 points in second place, one point behind leaders Liverpool and on goal difference ahead of third-placed Arsenal.

In contrast, Fulham suffered its second defeat, compared to three wins and two draws, to freeze its balance at 11 points in sixth place temporarily.

Liverpool secure top spot

In the first match of the seventh round, Liverpool secured its lead in the English Premier League by narrowly defeating its host, Crystal Palace, by one goal to nil.

Portuguese Diogo Jota scored the only goal of the match in the ninth minute, raising Liverpool's score to 18 points at the top, 4 points temporarily ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal, while Crystal Palace's score froze at 3 points in eighteenth place.

Liverpool tops the table with 18 points, followed by Manchester City and Arsenal with 17 points.
