The terrorist Houthi militia launched a new kidnapping campaign targeting senior employees of the Ministry of Education who have continued to work with it since the fall of Sanaa.

Educational and other sources in the Teachers Club said that the Houthis kidnapped Ahmed Hussein Al-Nono, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for the Curricula Sector of the unrecognized Houthi government, following a raid on his home in the capital.

The government's Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Eryani, confirmed the news of Al-Nono's kidnapping in a tweet on the X platform.

The sources also said that the Houthi militia expanded its kidnapping campaign to include the Director General of Control in the Ministry of Education, and the Director General of the Minister's Office, called "Ali Abbas."

The sources, including publications from those close to the Houthi family, confirmed that the campaign expanded to target leaders in education on charges of espionage.

In the past months, the Houthi militia had killed a number of distinguished Yemeni cadres in education, such as Dr. Muhammad Al-Mikhlafi, Mujib Al-Mikhlafi and Sabri Al-Hakimi. Al-Hakimi’s dead body was returned to his captivity weeks after his kidnapping.

The Houthi militia has been kidnapping a number of cadres and members of the Teachers Club for months in its prisons.
