Arab foreign ministers condemned the Israeli aggression on Lebanon on Tuesday, warning of its dangerous repercussions on the security of the region.
This came during a consultative meeting in New York, chaired by Yemeni Foreign Minister Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, according to a statement by the Yemeni Foreign Ministry.
The statement said that the Arab foreign ministers "affirmed their solidarity with Lebanon and the brotherly Lebanese people in the face of the Israeli aggression, warning of the dangerous repercussions of this aggression that threatens to explode the regional situation in a way that will have painful consequences for everyone."
Yesterday morning, Monday, Israel began launching extensive raids on areas in eastern and southern Lebanon, which continued until dawn today, killing 492 people, including 30 children and 58 women, and wounding 1,645 others, according to the latest from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
In addition to the situation in Lebanon, the meeting of Arab foreign ministers witnessed deliberations and discussions on the latest developments in Palestine, and coordination of Arab positions on the agenda of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
