Yemeni Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari confirmed that the armed forces are ready for all options and have complete strategic plans, pointing to the ongoing provocations of the Houthi militias, which result in the deaths and injuries of people.

In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Lieutenant General Al-Daari said: “We in the army, all the Yemeni components, and the resistance, our primary goal is Sana’a, and the Houthi militias are a temporary and non-continuous project that could end at any moment.”

The Minister of Defense confirmed that "the Yemeni army is ready to move towards Sana'a at any moment, and that the Houthi militias are weakening day after day," explaining that the militias do not abide by covenants and agreements, and when they weaken, they use several methods to gain the sympathy of others.

Al-Daari pointed out that there are great efforts by the coalition to achieve peace, which is better than the language of war, but that does not mean that war may not be renewed. It could be renewed at any day.

He continued: Despite the truce and the presence of forces and despite our cessation of fire, we find the militias provoking us every day in one direction, and martyrs and wounded people fall, but patience is still the characteristic of the legitimate authority, and it is patience, readiness and preparedness until zero hour comes, whether for peace or war, we are ready.

He spoke about the coordination he described as high-level between the Yemeni forces and the leadership of the joint operations of the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen, praising the pivotal role played by Saudi Arabia, the leader of the coalition, and indicating that it has never hesitated to provide all forms of support to the Republic of Yemen at all levels.

Lieutenant General Al-Daari stressed that his visit to the Kingdom comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and consultation with officials in the Joint Operations Command and the Saudi Ministry of Defense, and to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries.

He stressed Iran's support for the Houthi militias for many years, through smuggling weapons and experts, in an attempt to ignite chaos without regard to the common interests or stability of Yemen and the region.

The Minister of Defense hinted that there are parties "who want to portray the Houthi militias as having become a regional power in the region, but in reality they are worth nothing. We know them on the ground, they have not been able to advance at all, and they are trying to adopt a policy of blackmailing the countries that pass through the Red Sea."

He added: "The terrorist militia has no borders and no security that it will stop one day. It searches every day for an alliance with any other terrorist groups. It used to claim that it is fighting ISIS and Al-Qaeda, which are two terrorist organizations. However, we have recently found that it is the one that cooperates with them and provides them with support, training and equipment. It also has relations with terrorist organizations on the other side of the Red Sea and other places."
