French Senate adopts draft resolution condemning Houthis, calling for international action to protect navigation

He explained that the Houthis' targeting of international navigation has disrupted the supply of goods, resulting in a sharp rise in the prices of food and medicine needed by the Yemeni people, and has increased the suffering of citizens in light of a stifling humanitarian crisis.

He expressed his appreciation for the French support and the Senate's initiative to highlight the challenges facing Yemen as a result of the Houthi attacks, stressing that this decision represents an important step in directing the international community towards confronting these threats, and enhances efforts aimed at supporting the legitimate government in Yemen to regain control over all areas and ports.

The Yemeni ambassador called for supporting the Yemeni government to achieve internal stability, secure international trade corridors in the Red Sea, and mitigate the negative economic impacts on the Yemeni people.
