Fathi Askar, an employee of the Prime Minister's Office, was kidnapped by the Transitional Council on charges of communicating with the Houthis.

The forces of the UAE-backed Transitional Council kidnapped an employee working in the Finance Department of the Prime Minister's Office, in the interim capital, Aden, in southern Yemen.

Identical sources said that the Security Belt Forces kidnapped "Fathi Manjed" on Wednesday evening, while he was in the city of Inmaa, located in the Al-Buraiqah district, northwest of Aden.

The Transitional Forces accused Al-Manjed of communicating with the Houthi militia, and took him to an unknown location.

Activists affiliated with the Transitional Council said that special units of the Security Belt Forces were able to arrest what they described as the "leader of the most dangerous Houthi cell" in Aden, named "Fathi Askar Manjed", who belongs to Saada Governorate.

According to the Transitional Council activists, "Al-Munjid" works as the Director General of State Accounts and Budget in the legitimate government, and is considered the most dangerous position that the Houthis have been able to penetrate, according to their claim.

They pointed out that he was arrested in a position after careful tracking that lasted for several weeks, which culminated in monitoring all the suspect's locations and movements, until he was arrested in one of the hotels in the capital, Aden, while he was preparing to escape outside Aden.
