The slogan of the campaign on the eighth anniversary of the crime of treachery against the sheikhs of the Al Omar family
Yesterday evening, Saturday, Yemeni media figures and activists commemorated the eighth anniversary of the heinous crime committed by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia against four sheikhs of the Al Omar tribe in Dhi Na’im District, Al Bayda Governorate (central Yemen).
Activists launched an electronic campaign for the occasion under the hashtag: #Remembrance_of_Houthi_treachery_with_the_sheikhs_of_Al- Bayda, highlighting the crime of treachery against the sheikhs of Al-Bayda and all the terrorist crimes committed by the militia against the people of the governorate.
The campaign aimed to expose the crimes committed by the Houthi militias against the people of Al-Bayda Governorate in particular and the nation in general and to communicate them to local and international public opinion and human rights and humanitarian organizations, according to the campaign statement.
The campaign statement confirmed that the perpetrators of the brutal crime are still at large and have not been held accountable, despite the promises received by the sheikhs of the governorate from the group’s leaders following the crime eight years ago.
It is noteworthy that, on July 31, 2016 AD, the Houthi militia summoned both: (Sheikh Ahmed Saleh Ahmed Al-Amri, and his son Sheikh Saleh Ahmed Saleh Al-Amri; Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Al-Amri, and Sheikh Saleh Salem Binh Al-Amri) and prevented them from communicating with their families and loved ones, before... That their bodies were found in one of the Fadha reefs in Al-Malajim District on August 3, 2016, bearing bullet marks from behind, in a crime that aroused public opinion.
