Evacuation of the Yemeni diplomatic mission in Lebanon

The Yemeni government evacuated its diplomatic mission in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and began transferring a number of its citizens, coinciding with the continued Israeli bombing of a number of Lebanese cities and towns.

Media sources said that the Yemeni government evacuated the majority of its diplomatic mission in Lebanon during the past two days, and began transporting the first group of stranded Yemenis by air from the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The Yemeni embassy in Beirut had asked Yemenis wishing to leave Lebanon to register their names before directing them to travel to Syria by land after they failed to secure a flight to get them out.

A Yemeni academic was killed in an Israeli raid on Lebanon early this October, and another Yemeni academic was killed in Syria with his wife and three daughters in an Israeli raid as well.
