Four Yemeni siblings died in a drowning incident in a flooded valley in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Identical Yemeni sources and Saudi media reported that a Yemeni citizen residing in Saudi Arabia lost control of his car yesterday, Tuesday, while trying to cross with his wife and six of his children, through the torrents of Wadi Al-Maghmas, east of Mecca.

The sources added that the strong current of the floods swept the car until it hit one of the walls of the farms in the area, and got stuck in one of the flood drainage culverts in that wall.

The accident resulted in the death of three girls, the eldest of whom was seven years old, and their brother, who was four years old, while the father, mother, and two of their children were rescued.

According to the sources, the deceased are the children of the Yemeni citizen residing in Saudi Arabia (Nasser Mohammed Qamlan). Activists and officials expressed their feelings of sadness over the incident and sent telegrams of condolences to their father who was injured in the incident, while others published pictures that they said were of the child victims, but we were unable to verify their authenticity.
