The city of Al-Khawkhah (the temporary center of Hodeidah Governorate), western Yemen, is witnessing a widespread outbreak of cholera, amid a shortage of medical personnel and capabilities.
Local sources told "Yemen Shabab Net" that the medical center for diarrhea in the city of Al-Khawkhah receives dozens of patients suffering from the cholera epidemic every day, amid a shortage of medicines, equipment and medical staff.
The sources added that the center received more than 50 cases of cholera yesterday from all areas of the district, which hosts camps for the displaced and is considered the temporary administrative center for the liberated areas in the governorate.
