Interior: A soldier in the Mahra Security Forces was killed by drug dealers

The Yemeni Ministry of Interior announced the killing of a police officer in Al Mahrah Governorate (eastern Yemen) by gunfire from drug dealers in the governorate.

The ministry said in an obituary statement published by the security media on Thursday that Lieutenant (Muti’ Muhammad Ali Al-Jumaili) was martyred while performing his national duty in confronting an attack by outlaws and drug dealers in Al-Mahrah Governorate.

In his obituary, the Director General of Drug Control at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Lahmadi, praised the courage of the martyr Al-Jumaili and his dedication to his duty, who sacrificed his life to protect the country from the scourge of drugs, noting that his sacrifices will remain immortal in the memory of the nation.

Brigadier Lahmadi stressed that the security services will continue to make every effort to combat drug smuggling, and that such actions will not deter members of the anti-drug department from carrying out their duty to protect society from this scourge.

Lahmadi urged all segments of society to shoulder their responsibilities in combating this scourge to preserve the cohesion of society and the family and strengthen their unity in confronting the danger of drugs.

The Director General offered his sincere condolences to the Director of Drug Control in Al Mahrah Governorate, the relatives of the martyr and his colleagues, praying to God Almighty to have mercy on him and to grant him a place in His spacious heavens, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace.
