Today, Wednesday, the Specialized Criminal Court of First Instance in the temporary capital, Aden, ruled to execute 7 civilians for forming an armed gang and being involved in the crimes of assassinating mosque imams and army and security officers in Aden and Lahj, southern Yemen.
The Army website “September Net” reported that the Specialized Criminal Court ruled, in its session today, Wednesday, headed by Judge Yahya Muhammad Al-Saidi, to convict the defendants in Case No. 54 of 2021 AD, including what was mentioned in the indictment regarding the formation of an armed gang and involvement in the crimes of assassinating imams of mosques, soldiers, and security and army officers. During the period from 2015 - 2020 AD in the governorates of Aden and Lahj.
He said that the text of the ruling, which was read in the public session in the presence of prosecutor Faisal Abdel Hafez and the secretary of the session, Afaf Ali Mohsen, ruled to punish the convicts (Al-Jashmi Ahmed Hussein Al-Jashmi), (Imad Saleh Ali Ahmed Al-Khader), (Hossam Najib Ahmed Youssef), and (Wael Muhammad). Hussein Saleh Al-Jazzar), (Ammar Shui Hassan Al-Hawsali), (Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed Youssef Qadi), and (Ali Muhammad Ali Al-Khudari) were sentenced to death by punishment.
The ruling also ruled that the convicts (Muhammad Kamal Ahmed Saghir), (Muhammad Ghalib Ayyash Abdullah), and (Najib Muhammad Yusuf Qadi) be punished with ten years’ imprisonment for each of them, and that (Ali Ahmed Yusuf), (Fahmi Muhammad Yusuf Qadi) and ( Muhammad Hussein Ayyash) was imprisoned for five years, according to the statement.
He stated that as for the convicts (Ahmed Ali Ahmed Al-Khudari), (Jabr Ali Ali Al-Haimi), (Jabr Nasser Ahmed Sarib), (Sinan Ali Ali Al-Haimi), (Ali Abdul-Malik Muhammad Al-Haimi), (Ghaleb Ali Ali Al-Haimi), and (Ali Abdul Karim Muhammad Al-Haimi) The court ruled that the period they served in prison would be sufficient. The court also obliged the Public Prosecution to confiscate and seize all seized items.
