160 people died due to thunderstorms accompanying heavy rains in areas controlled by the Houthi militia since the beginning of this year.
Statistics issued by the Emergency and Flood Damage Committee of the Houthi militia authorities (unrecognized) stated that the number of victims of thunderbolts has reached more than 160 deaths during the current year.
The statistics indicated that among these victims were 22 deaths during the past forty-eight hours, according to what was monitored and reported in the areas controlled by the militia.
Since last March, Yemen has been witnessing seasonal rains accompanied by thunderstorms that have increased since late June, causing hundreds of deaths and injuries and significant material damage to property and infrastructure.
