The terrorist Houthi militia imposed heavy taxes on grape products, in the latest attack on local agricultural products.

Special agricultural sources in Sana'a told "Yemeni Youth Net" that the Houthi militia imposes a series of illegal taxes on grape farmers, leading to the destruction of their products and their losses.

The sources added that the Houthi militia imposed taxes totaling 11,700 riyals on each basket of grapes entering the Al-Sitteen Market in Sana'a.

The taxes were distributed according to the sources as follows: (7000 agency fees, 1500 cleaning fees, 1000 entry fees, 1000 exit fees, 700 parking fees, and 500 brokerage fees).

She pointed out that despite these levies, the militia forces farmers to sell one basket at a price ranging between 15,000 and 16,500 riyals, which represents a huge loss for the farmer.

The Houthi levies on grape cultivation are the latest in a series of Houthi attacks on agricultural products, including pomegranates, garlic, tomatoes, onions, and other products, which have caused the bankruptcy of thousands of farmers and traders.
