The employees of Kamran Industry and Investment Company in Taiz called on the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, and the legitimate government to intervene urgently to save the company from what they described as “systematic tampering practiced by the Chairman of its Board of Directors, Abdul Hafez Al-Simah.”
Today, Sunday, the employees carried out a protest in front of the company’s headquarters in the center of the city of Taiz, in which they raised slogans denouncing the corruption and tampering taking place in Kamran Company, as well as the continuous plundering of the company’s funds and the policy of oppression and arrogance practiced by the Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors against the employees who reject the practices he is carrying out, thus taking advantage of his position and the political situation. turmoil in the country.
The protesters announced a comprehensive strike until all their demands are implemented, namely canceling the arbitrary decision issued against the director of the company’s branch in Taiz and other dismissal decisions issued by the Chairman of the Board of Directors against employees, as well as stopping the continuous threats of expulsion and stopping the benefits of other employees.
The protesters vowed to continue escalation by carrying out multiple protest activities if their demands were not met and the company's situation was not returned to its normal path, wondering about the fate of the revenues of Kamran Company and its factory in Jordan.
The protesters said that the revenues disappeared during Al-Simah's tenure as leadership of the company, calling on President Al-Alimi, the government of Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, and the competent authorities to stop the continuous bleeding of national funds.
The statement denounced the continued disregard for their legitimate demands, including addressing their conditions and urgent intervention to save the company from destructive policies, corruption, and the chaos taking place.
He explained that the stand comes to stand up to the irresponsible behavior of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kamran Company, which is represented in not paying attention or responding to the demands of the employees of the Kamran Company branch in Taiz and other branches located in the areas of the legitimate government, the most prominent of which is disbursing employees’ dues and treating their financial and administrative conditions.
The statement also condemned the company's leadership ignoring the employees' repeated appeals and their demands to stop the deterioration of the company's conditions due to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Al-Simah, adopting wrong and destructive policies and issuing impromptu decisions, which brought the company to the brink of the abyss and drowned it with obligations and debts.
He pointed out that there is no point in these practices other than tampering and manipulating public funds, taking advantage of the political situation in the country, pointing to the inhumane and irresponsible treatment of employees by the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The employees of the Kamran Company branch in Taiz appealed to the President of the Presidential Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and the Prime Minister, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, to intervene urgently and quickly to save the company, its employees, and shareholders from the destructive policies, tampering, and corruption practiced by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and to correct what can be remedied.
The statement called for the disbursement of salaries, employee benefits, medical care allowances, and others according to the exchange rate of the US dollar against the national riyal. They also called for addressing the imbalances, abuses, and systematic corruption practiced by the Samah and the ETB We adhere to the principle of transparency, especially in the financial, administrative, sales and production aspects.
The statement called for meeting employees’ demands, addressing imbalances, drying up the sources of corruption in the company, stopping arbitrary measures against employees, returning all of the company’s products to its warehouses, working within the documentary cycle, and revealing the fate of the revenues withdrawn to Jordan and the revenues of the factory located in the latter, which sells its products in the local and foreign markets.
He also called for the urgent payment of dues from shareholders and the state, including taxes and funds, noting that they had accumulated and reached billions of riyals. They also held the Chairman of the Board of Directors responsible for that.
At the conclusion of the statement, the protesters stressed the need to compel peace to implement all demands, address all imbalances, stop destructive policies, impromptu decisions, and systematic corruption, and form committees from the judicial authorities, the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Central Agency for Control and Accounting, and others to go to the company and review all violations.
