Ship in the Red Sea
The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said on Saturday that a small explosion occurred near a ship 170 nautical miles east of the Yemeni city of Aden.
The authority had initially said that the incident occurred southwest of the city of Aden.
According to Reuters, the authority said in a detailed report, quoting the ship’s captain (MV Groton), “An armed security team detected a small explosion near the ship.”
The ship's captain added that there was no damage and that all crew members were fine.
This is the first incident since the Israeli aggression on the city of Hodeidah late last month.
This comes at a time when the Houthi group has not issued any comment on the incident until the writing of this news.
